It has been said over and over and over and over again, we will not be having a forum for general discussion, BBF was made for Baseball chatting and Baseball chatting ONLY. Many people have fought for a general desicussion, and many people have lost, and no one in the near fuure is gonna win.

In the three years that I have been here, I have probably seen 50 "Can we have an off topic forum?" posts, mostly by new comers who haven't seen the numerous previous threads on it.

Maybe a permanently sticky-ed "There will NOT be an off-topic forum at BBF" thread, and list the reasons by the moderators why there will not be.

I totally agree that there should not be an off topic forum. PM the people you want to talk to about other things or visit the yahoo groups made by members here to chit-chat.

I like that BBF is all about baseball. So do many other members. The owners of the site want to keep it that way.

And to compare it to the Pilots, they stayed in the same city, whereas the Pilots moved. The fans there remember the Pilots, and don't think of them as the same team as the Brewers, whereas almost all Astros fans think of the Colt .45's as the early Astros.

Agreed, they are the sme franchise with a different nickname. On a related note I nominate a forum for the California Angels. :laugh
