I have grown to be quite good at Mogul, so I decided to give myself a challenge, to take the Devil Rays and turn them into a team that can compete, while staying within their payroll budget (28.8 Mil) and here is what i came up with...

C- Joe Mauer
1B- Chad Tracy
2B- Jorge Cantu
3B- David Wright
SS- Jose Reyes
RF- Johnny Gomes
CF- Carl Crawford
LF- Matt Murton
DH- Ryan Zimmerman

SP1- Mark Prior
SP2- Noah Lowry
SP3- Scott Kazmir
SP4- Jerome Williams
SP5- Angel Guzman

Closer- Chad Qualls
Setup- Chad Orvella
Middle- Michael wuertz
Short- Jim Mecir
Long- Todd Williams
Alternative- Aaron Rakers

All Relievers had a 2005 ERA under 4.00

*I didnt list my bench, cause its nothing to to be proud of! lol.

My total payroll is...22.1 Million.

Anyone else ever done something like this...and if your bored and want to give yourself a challenge, try doing what i did. Its loads of fun. BTW, I havent simmed yet, I am just hoping that this team can compete. It will be interesting.

Aww man, I lost the division on the last day of the year to the Yankees. Man, that hurts so bad. All that rebuilding and I still come a game short. BTW, I finished 94-68. I guess looking on the bright side, I took a 100 loss team into a 90 win team. But it still hurts. Hopefully next year.

I took the 2006 Marlins to a WS title in the Mogul demo. I also won 31 WS titles as the Red Sox, starting in 1918, in OOTP.

In a few years, your payroll will grow dramatically ...

In case it wasn't noted, OOTP has no difficulty levels. In Mogul, I was on the second-hardest level.

lol, it did, it skyrocketed to about 90 million. I got rid of Gomes, Lowry and Kazmir. In order to keep he players though, I put the average salary for the Tampa area at 30,000. Then I raised ticket prices and now I can keep he players. I still find it amazing that at the time, you could get that good a team for that cheap.

I went to the finals with my Yahoo team but lost out to guy that kept changing his line up. With the exception of a couple changes and trades, I pretty much to the same line up all year.
