Well now that the crew got a solid catcher in Estrada, and their infield is pretty solid and we have Counsell backing up.......I think that we need pitching and outfielders. Sheets, Cappy, Bush, and now Vargas but i dont see us signing Ohka again, we definetely need a couple of starters. Bullpen is allright (I'm hoping that they give Turnbow another chance, just becuase i love watching him at the top of his game) and in the outfield Jenkins is not very good anymore and i hope i see Billy and Hart starting. However we need to sign/trade for another solid outfielder. I dont really know what we plan to do with Tony Gwynn but hopefully he'l turn into a good ballplayer. What about your ideas?

While I cussed out Jenkins numerous times during 2006 with his excessive strikeouts and comparative lack of power, give the man his due. He did a good job in right field and didn't stop hustling even though his hitting was bad.
With the contract he carries, he'll be difficult to trade, and he's still young enough to have several good seasons. Let's give him a chance to regain the RF job, and not just award the job to the youngsters.
If Turnbow can be rehabilitated, the regulars stay healthy, and Fielder manages to avoid the Sophomore Jinx, 2007 may be a pretty decent year for the Brew crew!

Think they could do some stuff with Weeks to prevent a lot of errors

well the thing is rickie weeks is actually amazing defensively we have all seen him make defensive gems that are amazing its just when he gives his-self to much time thats when all bad stuff happens...... but i think he will get all together he is just young and i agree with brecrew we definitely need another solid outfielder.. i think jenkins years are behind him ....

Sounds like we're going to retain Graffanino, which is mighty good news to my way of thinking!
For his leadership, pinch-hitting, and versatility, I'd like to see Cirillo stay with the Brewers. Which brings up the subject of "Why the HELL did they sign Counsell? We need another spare infielder like a third eye in the middle of the forehead." Hall can always handle shortstop capably if Hardy is injured.
I still haven't given up on Jenkins. I think he has a couple of good years in him yet.
And if he wasn't a native Wisconsinite, I'd let Miller go now that we have Estrada and a good capable younger backup. IMO Miller hasn't any power, strikes out wayyyy too much for his minimal hitting ability, and is getting a bit old.

well the thing is we dont want billy hall to come back in the infield because we want him to learn the outfield and stay out there and counsell is pretty solid in the infield, i don't agree with how much counsell is receiving for just a backup guy but i understand why we did it..
