I've been to Clio. Went to a high school (academy) in Holly for a semester. I left the school because the administration refused to deal with sprites in the dorm rooms, among other issues. They (the sprites) agreed (as Sparky did not, at the time) that pumping iron would make the modern day ballplaya. Lance Parrish shakes Johnny Damon's hand.

This was really a two-horse race between the Twins' Justin Morneau and the Yankees' Derek Jeter, with Morneau getting the nod for AL MVP.

Carlos Guillen had a great year for our Tigers, finishing 10th in MVP voting with 34 total votes. His highest vote was a fifth-place nod. Somewhat surprising was young fireballer Justin Verlander tying for 15th place with 7 votes. Two other Tigers received MVP votes: Magglio Ordonez tied for 22nd with 3 votes, and Kenny Rogers had two votes for a 26th place tie.

Nice job, guys. Keep up the good work. :gt

It is a good "average" for a team who got to the WS but who didn't win 'em, nice job once again, the Tigers are back on track !!!

No, I'm not anti-Canadian at all. And just because my myspace thing is "The Yankees Are My Daddy" doesn't mean I'm a Yankees fan. I just have that because Johnny Damon is my favorite player. Morneau had a good season, I'll give him that. But he didn't really do anything to make him MVP. The Twins would have made the playoffs with out him in my opinion. Although I don't like pitchers being the MVP I probably would have voted for Santana instead of him. I would probably even pick Mauer over him. I'm just glad that David Ortiz didn't come close to winning because a DH should not even be able to win an MVP award.

Wulp,you are one-fifth right, $$$$$!

Evan Appara has refered to him as Judas, and he likes Johnny Damon.

If the KC Royals were a big market team, they would have the best outfield in baseball; Judas Damon, Jermaine Dye, and Carlos Beltran.

I have once been to Clio.

Wulp, I was heading north on I-75 and had to urinate. So I got off on exit 131, I think, and it was turn left and go to Montrose or turn right and go to Clio. I am happy to report that your hometown won out. I think I even added to your local economy by purchasing gas and buying a candy bar; however, you do not need to thank me. :D

I've been to Frankenmuth several times too.

WOW, Riverfrontier is psychic!

He knew we were going to have this conversation 4 years ago. Why didn't he tell us the beloved Tigers would fail to show up for this years World Series?
