does anyone remember the 1st time they went to connie mack stadium?

Yupper. Big thrill for me. I think it was bat day back in '68 when I was eleven. Being from the suburbs..country really.. I couldn't get over how many black kids were there. Don't get me wrong I loved Richie Allen and wasn't predijuced whatsoever..it was just..different. Low and behold I got an Allen bat too which everybody wanted to trade. Sorry, it's mine!

Being born in 1987 I've obviously never been to a game there. For whatever reason, I love Shibe Park. If I could see a game in any stadium that's ever existed (other than Tiger Stadium or Bennett Park....I'm a Tigers fan after all) it would be Shibe Park preferably in a game with Ty Cobb as a Tiger....or even an A.
