Okay, so Ed Eagle brought answered a question from some fan that suggested the name Joe Koshansky from the Rockies. I would certainly give up some pitching to get the kid.

What do you guys think about Gorzy and some reliever? We could always get someone to fill-in on the rotation, and I personally think that Marty McLeary might come out of the spring as our 5th starter anyhow.

The kid has 81 homers and 267 rib-eyes in 330 total games. He has also had 30/100 in his two full seasons. AND, the best part....his career average is .276, which isn't stellar...but certainly isn't Burnitzish. I hope we go after him.

yeah i read that yesterday too. If by some miracle Littlefield is capable of conducting a trade that favors us, I would probably expect to see Gorzy and Gonzalez go bye-bye. There really is no need for us to keep Gonzo because Torres proved he can close.

I am now thinking that Gorzy alone is probably too much for that guy. That guy had good, not great stats. And the Pirates only real chance at any future success is in the hands of these young starters. It should take a lot to get any of them.
