Simple topic here, which Pirates pitcher do you think was better: John Candelaria or Steve Blass?

Both were successfult and both had their careers hampered by injuries (Candelaria) and loss of form (Blass).

So let's hear it . . .

Now that I think of it, I would have to give my vote to the Candyman. They both won a World Series< but John was still effective as a releiver. And could whip that fast-ball past any1.

Two things John Candelaria is known for;

1. Throwing a no-hitter in Pittsburgh vs. L.A. Dodgers in 1976.

2. Winning 20 games in 1977. His record was 20-5 for the 77 Pirates.
