Probably not since i actually want to do a DH poll this year and do away with the middle reliever one.

My question would be how an awful first base like Giambi being ranked? Lol, didn't he DH and would be DH'ing again for New York if Matsui and Melky didn't play the same position and if they had decent replacement for 1B.

Lol, why in the world is Chris Shelton listed? Didn't he get demoted last season?

Giambi's a great hitter. He played rougly half his games as a yankee at first. he played quite a bit of first base over in Oakland. I based my decisions on this one over the last 5 years or so and he stacks up nicely.

I'm not counting 1B/DHs I believe that DHs (top five only) should get their own poll

I second that. He's a definite favorite of mine, IMO every bit as good as the much more hyped Soriano this season. Of course he gets a bonus for playing for the Nats too. :D

I'm gonna post my list a little later. I am suprised that nobody put howard over pujols. Does this mean there aren't as many HR and RBI lovers on BBF anymore???

Yes, half his games at 1B make him as much as 1B as Pujols, Howard and Berkman. Giambi a DH and will likely become the full time DH. Ortiz can play 1B, but you won't see me call him a 1B. Giambi a terrible 1B and it's about time he's being made a full time DH, which will likely happen next season since Matsui likely to start in RF, even though I believe Melky should and Matsui should DH. Looking for New York to pick up a 1B that can play 1B. Not a "DH/wannabe" name Giambi.

He qualified this year as a first baseman and for the last few seasons, therefore, I ranked him as a first baseman. Is he a pain over there? yes, but so is Delgado and other historically "great" first basemen.

I rated Pujols and Berkman ahead of him anyway. Howard wasn't ahead of him because 1.5 years isn't a real good sample to judge his true worth. My ratings were over the past 5 years or so and Howard was still a young'un and has a lot to prove (though he's doing it quick).
