Choose 3 teams that you think should advance. I repeat, you need to choose three. Well, we have a couple of back to back winners and one dynasty, so that will be added into account.

The Oakland A's dynasty cannot be ignored in my mind. They had great pitching...Catfish Hunter, John Odom, Rollie Fingers, Vida Blue, and the list goes on. I picked the 1974 A's team, but you really can't go wrong with 1972 or 1973 either.
I also picked the 1976 Reds team. The Big Red Machine were dominant throughout their time in the '70's. They were better than themselves in 1975. Pete Rose, Joe Morgan, Ken Griffey, Sr., and on.
1970 O's. Jim Palmer won 20 games. Then you got hard hitting Boog Powell and the excellent defense of Brooks Robinson. Fantastic.

The Reds of the mid-70s were outstanding, and the '76 team got my vote.
Sorry, brain cramped and didn't read the 'vote for 3' instructions. The '76 Reds, the '73 A's and the '79 Pirates would be my three picks.

Picking merely three in this set was difficult.
