With most of the ML schedules out, I finally took a hard look at my hopeful trip for summer '07. I may be going with a friend and he may want to come back each night (which is doable, he's centrally located near Philly) or might want to stay over near NY for back-to-back games. It's flexible so I can do it either way. I've got a few possibilities of five games in five days like my Cali trip. I haven't been able to figure out a way to either start or end the trip in NY so it looks like I will have to go to NY and come back unless I stretch it out for more than six days. Still gotta check promotional schedule and with teh guy I might run with.

Any advice on where to park in NYC so I'm able to drop my car and and ride public transportation yet find my car when it's done :laugh or what seats are the best bang for the buck, or which to avoid, is appreciated :clapping

Can't say much about anything near Yankee, but a friend and I used a lot in Flushing pretty close to Shea that had 24/7 security. Can't say that it looked all that great, but somebody was watching the lot at all times. It was very close to the Comfort Inn we stayed at in Flushing's Chinatown.
I think the lot was right at College Point Blvd and 37th Ave/Congressman Rosenthal Plaza. We left a brand new 350Z there for two days and had no issues. Shea was about a 15 minute walk from this area, and there is also a convenient subway stop.

Good luck!

No, the lot was not owned by the hotel. It's across a canal/river from Shea, but it's still a pretty short walk. If you do use it, be sure to use the bridge to the south of the lot, we ended up in an urban wasteland by taking the closer bridge just to the north.
There may be better options closer to Shea, but we used this one because it was so close to our hotel. It might help you avoid some of the congestion associated with Shea since it's not right next to the stadium. I don't know what's worse about parking close to Fenway, the exorbitant cost or being stuck in pedestrian and car traffic for 1-2 hours after the game... :evil

I think the most effective way is to park on staten island and take the ferry...there is metered parking...it is a safe area....you can enjoy the ferry past the statue of liberty and then access the subway from the ferry station.....got to allow a lot of time but it is an enjoyable way if you plan to make a day of it...oh and the ferry if free
