I really thought the A's would select Ron Washington to replace Ken Macha, but obviously not.....

The guy worked for the A's for 11 years and they passedon hiring him as a manager. Either they were too close to the guy or they know something the Rangers don't.

Could be that BEANE the A's gm, didn't hire RON, as maybe he felt that
Ron wasn't gonna kiss his grits, and do what beane 'suggests' on a constant
basis..Beane has some weird notions about field mgrs..

could be a good hire for the rangers...give the guy a chance...:rolleyes:

I am looking forward to seeing what Ron will bring to the rangers. I have heard some good things about him and his baseball knowledge.
