Is anyone else concerned with how ridiculously low Freddy's OBP was last year? He hit an outstanding .344 but had a on base percentage of just .378! That places Freddy 17th in the NL for OBP, Bay is 8th at .396.

I would love to see Freddy increase his walk totals next year, especially if he is hitting directly in front of Bay. Paul Do Luca (24) is the only player in the top 50 NL for hitting this year who walked less than Freddy (31). I worry that Freddy's continued success will be dependent upon his ability to learn how to walk. Something that has always held Jack Wilson back.

Your thoughts?

Not much, because I think it would come at expense of his average. Don't get me wrong, I'm a "fan" of OBP. But I recall he got a lot of his hits with two strikes, and if he went for more walks, he'd also strike out too much.
