Well, tomorrow is November 3 and I want to celebrate it by reading what happened in Brooklyn Dodgers' history. With that said, what happened on this day in Dodger history?

I bump this because today is November 3, and it's nearly November 4. I'm running out of time to find out what happened on this day in BROOKLYN DODGERS history?

I notice redbirds only appear every 24 years. I will eagerly anticipate your smug posts in 2030.

Not a whole helluva lot, besides the birth of Spider Jorgensen in 1919. Not a whole helluva lot to recommend this thread either. Dodger Deb...euthanize please!

It is doubtful much happened on November 3rd in any baseball
team's history. Football teams would be another matter entirely.

Not so! One of the biggest screwings (maybe the biggest) occurred on November 3, 1942. Although Ted Williams had just WON THE TRIPLE CROWN, Joe Gordon was named AL MVP. Gordon that year led the AL in hitting into DPs (22), in striking out the most (95) and led all second basemen with 28 errors.

On a Dodger note, Chris Van Cuyk died in 1992.
