What do you think?

I have to agree with the CanadianKid.haaaaaaa!

Really tho, I would really like to see Dave Roberts in a Rockie Uniform next year if the Rockies can sign him.

Can someone post Dejean's stats as well as Mesa's stats?

DeJean was injured almost all of the season due to a rotator cuff problem. He'll be 36 next year. (I think) Mesa lead the bullpen in IP, losses, and holds . He'll be 41 next year. He posted a career high IP.

Name W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV SVO IP H R ER HR BB SO
Mesa 1 5 3.86 79 0 0 0 1 8 72.1 73 32 31 9 36 39

no I don't want cheaters playing for the Rockies

I do, the good old fashioned ones tho, not Barry for Barry Bonds and all the extra baggage that comes with him.

Barry= Destraction>What he brings to the team

Yeah you're probably right about that overall. I guess I was just thinking about this equation:

Guy who hits a lot of home runs anyway + Coors Field = LOTS of home runs

But when you factor in the cheating part, that takes some of the lustre off the equation.

Jose Mesa also filled for Free Agency but this does not mean that he will not be back next year, even though I think the Rockies would like to be going into the '07 Season with a Young Bullpen .

Rockies exercise option on RHP Jennings

November 8, 2006
DENVER (Ticker) - Jason Jennings is staying in Colorado for at least one more season.

The Rockies on Tuesday exercised a $5.5 million club option for 2007 on Jennings, who went 9-13 with a 3.78 this past season.

Jennings was just the second pitcher in franchise history to post a sub-4.00 ERA and the only righthander to accomplish the feat.

The Rockies gave Jennings the second-lowest run support in the National League. Colorado was shut out or held to one run in nine of his losses.

The 28-year-old Jennings, a first-round pick of the Rockies in 1999, has a 58-56 record in six seasons. He won a career-high 16 games in 2002.

November 7, 2006

DENVER (AP) -- Jason Jennings' $5.5 million option was exercised Tuesday by the Colorado Rockies.

Jennings went 9-13 last season, when he had had the second-lowest run support in the NL. The Rockies were shut out in four of Jennings' starts and scored just one run in five other losses, and his 3.78 ERA made him just the second Rockies pitcher to post an ERA below 4.00

Jennings made $4.4 million last season, part of a $7 million, two-year deal he signed in 2004. His buyout would have been $100,000.

Also Tuesday, the Rockies promoted Alan Cockrell to hitting coach and Glenallen Hill to first base coach. Cockrell, 43, served as the team's hitting coach for five months in 2002 after Clint Hurdle was promoted to manager, then spent the last four season as hitting coach at Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Hill, 41, who played in the major leagues for 13 seasons, was the hitting coach at the Rockies High-A affiliate for the last three years and served as manager at Modesto for the final three months of last season after Chad Kreuter became head baseball coach at Southern Cal.

Jose Mesa also filled for Free Agency but this does not mean that he will not be back next year, even though I think the Rockies would like to be going into the '07 Season with a Young Bullpen .

Ramon Ramirez proved that he could contribute, so look for him to see more IP. Mesa would be a good addition, as long as he doesn't have to pitch as much as he did last year.
