At BaseballAmerica.com (http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prospects/features/26983.html) they have a list of their top 100 prospects for each year going back to 1990. It's neat to go back and look through it and see some of star players when they were just prospects. But more on topic for us, here's a list of all the Yankees that were ranked in the top 100. It's kind of interesting to see who made, who never did, and who the Yanks traded away. Going back to 1990 is also a good time frame because it coincides with when Steinbrenner was suspended and the team began to build what became one of the league's best farm systems by the end of the decade. Some observations:

- I forgot just how highly regarded Ruben Rivera was.

- Does this make anyone else sad about Brien Taylor?

- Notice Mariano Rivera is missing?

Jeez, I actually with Henson would have been a success... Maybe he wouldn't have blown any games for us here in Dallas! :grouchy

Rivera was exteremely high on the list!

Yup, the whole Brien Tayler debacle was a sad episode and I wonder if Brien relives that moment every day...and wishing he had never been there.

Mo is missing!
I didn't see Posada either.
No Cano either!
And where is Sam Militello? LMAOOO

Ed Yarnall?
Ted Lilly?

LOL @ Hensley Muelens aka BAM BAM.
This guy used to hit'em a mile!
But he was kinda like Cerano from "Major League".

I didn't list players who broke in with the Yankees but were really products of other systems.

Yarnall was 55th in 2000 for the Reds and 60th in 1998 for the Mets. Lilly was 66th for the Expos in 99.

I remember when Meulens was a hot prospect. I had a friend who bought up every card he could get his hands on of the guy.

I did not know Carl Everett went through the Yankees organization.
