JW, when you get on, please move all rule-discussion posts over here, if possible. Thanks!
What we have decided:
100 million dollar salary cap.
What we still need to decide:

Lovely. I think that we should try to cover any loopholes in the rules before the season begins. That way, we can avoid any confrontations. We need to write up the rules once we have decided what they will be.

Since we now have a mod as a member (JW), we can sticky threads. Not that I want to turn this into the BBFTG or anything...
OK, so what do we have so far? 100M salary cap, for sure.

Maybe you should add the rules we have for sure into the first post (edit them into a list). You could also add things that we need to decide into the first post.

We should set a date so that by then everyone should be under the cap. Maybe in a week or so. Any thoughts?

It's better to get them out of the way now.
The cap will go into effect at the all-star break.
Agree, IF a cap was decided upon after the draft started.
My question is, do the minor leaguers count against the cap or not? If so, where's the best place to get minor league salary info?

Cap doesn't affect minor leaguers with less than 3 years of MLB experience. I think it's 3 ,but it could be 5 though.

We take your firstborn! No, that is actually a good question. What if TKOK simply can't get under the cap?
Also, we should institute a rule like: Nothing against the spirit of the game (under EB's discretion). This would make sure that no one manipulates the game.

If TKOK just can't get under the cap, he can choose to release his players. If he still can't get under the cap, which he should be able to do, he will then lose his highest-paid player immediately. The same goes for anyone who goes over the cap. They will then lose their highest-paid player.
Sound fair?

The cap level was decided on after the first few rounds, but the cap itself was decided upon before anything started.
Minor leaguers, as AznInvasion said, do not need to be paid unless they have three years of MLB experience.
