This was a bad day in Dodger history. They lost the World Series AT HOME to the hated cross-town rival, the New York Yankees, 3-1. Horrible, horrible, I tell you. They won only one game (Game 2) at Yankee Stadium, but then took a three game slide - at the wrong time to succumb to the Yankees.
Discuss this dark day in Brooklyn Dodgers history in this thread, and they lost the series 4-1.
