I had a question to fans of Baseball-Fever: Which soda drink is the "official" soda drink of your ballpark? For my ballpark, Busch Memorial Stadium III, you can get a large Coca-Cola and a hot dog at about $6 (It's been a while since I went there). It's a good taste out here, especially for kids that want to visit the ballpark or anyone that has never visited here at Busch.

It's been Coke at Dodger Stadium for as long as I can remember. As for price, I think it's about $42 for a Dodger Dog and large Coke these days. $47.50 if you want a collectors cup. :laugh Seriously, a Dodger Dog was $4.50 last season. I always bring in my own sodas, so I'm not sure about those prices, although it's probably around $3.50. :crazy

I mean to go to Fenway next year, if I have the time and money, and see if they have some good food down there. What is their food they have there that is recommended by most Beantowners that post on this forum?

Are you taking about inside Fenway? If so, they have the world famous fenway franks, and the fried dough and fries are very good, too. Bring lots of cash though:(.

Then again, the purpose of this thread is the soda company that sponsors your ballpark, and the food that's there. Nothing's out of the ordinary at Busch Stadium III, except there's a Hardee's restaurant at the top deck by the upper reserved deck, nearby Left Field Pavilion. It's a good meal to eat at a ballgame.

Coke is NO WAY better than Pepsi.

I live in Scotland and have never been to the States, so I don't know. If we had ballparks over here, the soda would be IRN BRU, Scotland's other national drink. It rocks, but nowhere near as nice as Pepsi.

pepsi is more sugary, if you want a real cola, you get a coca-cola. Coke is the real deal, while pepsi is just some phoney rival to Coke. Coke was the 1st, the original too. (not to mention there use to be crack in it :D)

It's Pepsi at Tropicana Field--Tropicana is a division of Pepsico. But no, to my knowledge you can't get Tropicana orange juice.

As for the food--you can get everything from bloomin' onions to BBQ sandwiches but I usually stick to the Hebrew National Kosher Beef Franks. The only hotdog I would rank ahead of them are Nathan's.

yea I really like Nathan's

Ironicly, My older brother's name is Nathan, which is why I don't like saying I like Nathan's hot dogs. :crazy

Coke has the "pour" at Yankee Stadium, Pepsi at Shea. Having worked for the advertising agency for one brand and at the parent company of the other, I can attest that very few, if any, stadium concession deals make money. It's what's known as a "prestige account" and is done primarily for the in-stadium visability and the marginal advertising benefits that signage accrues on TV.

As far as taste preference, Pepsi usually wins over Coke, while Diet Coke is often adjudged superior to Diet Pepsi. As a result, there never was a "Diet Pepsi Challenge".

Well, my ballpark is only a short season class A team, but the official cola is Pepsi.

One persons opinion. Personally, I drink Pepsi. My dad was a sign painter and Pepsi was one of his biggest accounts. That company helped raise me!

I do use Coke to take the rust off of nails and bolts, though.:laugh

Do any parks have RC?

RC was the offical cola of the Fabulous Forum for many years, all the years when I was growing up. Then they switched to Pepsi and it's still Pepsi at Staples Center.

RC is still around.

It's distributed by 7up now. Cherry RC - Mmmmmmmmm. :dance

Pepsi is served at Shea Stadium today, but when the Mets won the series in 1969, RC was "The Comer."

RC is my cola of choice. Can't get it anywhere that you can purchase vended beverages just about. I'm pretty sure whereever the Tigers have been, it's been Coke.

Here's a great photo of Yankee Stadium in 1949, originally posted by Jackie42 in the "Yankee Stadium 1920s thru 1950s" thread on this site. The sign was over the left field bleacher entrance. In those days, a lower box seat cost $3.00; today it will run you $60 - $70 (image from a current ebay listing). I'd guess a Coke cost about $.25 back then - today it's $4.50 for a 20-oz. cup.
