I know you guys are going through a tough loss here....but at the beggining of the season did you expect them to compete in what we consider the best division in baseball? IF you did you must be some kind of prophet because this team clearly astonished the baseball world. Your team is made up of alot of very taleneted young players......your team will probally be able to contend for years to come. Look at us!! We were humiliated in 04 but they stuck with it and brought a championship to the town of st. louis. Maybe 2 years down the line in 2008 when both teams will be back in the world series, you guys will have the upper hand!!!!
BTW after being treated poorly by crazy mets fans at shea.....I would like to say your fans showed a lot of class at comerica...... And I have a lot of respect for this orgininzation and its fans!!!!!!!

Likewise. I must admit I rooted for the Sox in '04, but purely for the sake of the drought ending so Yankee fans would have one less leg to stand on. This time around it was my team playing you guys. Any other team represents the AL in the WS, and I'd be rooting for you guys. I HATED watching you guys lose to the Astros and Giants in 05 & 02. It's weird because a lot of people I know around here and in other AL cities consider the Cards their favorite NL team. It's a very storied franchise and a classy city with arguably the best player of this generation and a stand-up manager. Not to mention a bunch of guys who play like a team and give it their all. It's no wonder why you're right there in contention every single year. I've heard from a few people now that Detroit fans they encountered at Busch were very classy, and that is consoling. It's painful enough to lose a series, much less be criticized as fans because it's Detroit. The last thing we need as fans is a reputation for being whiny, sore losers, etc. There isn't a soul in Detroit (who doesn't have the number 1957 in his user name) that didn't consider April through October absolutely magical and dream-fulfilled. The point of pride for baseball being restored in this city is astronomical. You guys deserve every second of celebrating. Perhaps we'll see you next year! :gt
