There's a 90% chance of rain tonight in St. Louis. If tonight's game is rained out, it's possible that Kenny Rogers would be able to start Game 5. He's been lights out in every postseason appearance. If you're Jim Leyland, do you put Rogers out there in Game 5 where he will surely be taunted by Cardinals fans? Game five will be a big game for the Tigers regardless of the outcome of Game 4.

Well if tonights game is postponed that means game 4 would be held tomorrow. Which would give Kenny a normal rotation rest. So if he pitches game 4 he could theoretically be available for some relief in game 7. Or depending on the weather he might even get enough time off to go more then just 2 or so innings in game 7.

In otherwords Leyland should be trying to figure out how to maximize Kenny's usage. Before all the rain outs Kenny would have only been able to start 2 games for the Tigers and that is it. Now he has the possibility of starting 2 games and pitching more besides that. Having him pitch game 5 would remove that possibility.

i think the weather is going to be so bad that we're only going to be able to get in one game a week. the starters for games 4, 5, 6, and 7: carpenter vs rodgers.

No use calling it the Fall Classic that's played in October if it's now being played in November. :dance :waving

I heard on the radio that one WS game was delayed by 6 days due to weather. Hopefully, they won't need one of those gondolas like in Venice, Italy to get everyone to Busch Stadium.

I heard on the radio that someone had a sign called the "Detroit Tigers", but crossed out "Tigers" and replaced it with "Cheetahs". Gee, wonder what that was all about. :D ;) :p

there's only a very light drizzle falling right now. hopefully it won't get any worse. if they had to play right now they could . i'm not taking any chances though-i've already started building the ark. i just need to find more gopherwood.

For your pair of every animal imaginable, would you be taking one Tiger SS and one Cards SS?

Why don't we just make it simple and go to the home supply shop and get a giant inflatable raft? Hey, nothing wrong with water baseball, is there? :D :laugh

Oh yeah, who said you could post pix of animals on an ark? :p :dance

it's a baseball related picture-if you look closely you will find two cardinals and two tigers and two cubs and two orioles and two blue jays, etc. my favorite part of that picture is the woodpecker.

I wonder if Leyland would start Rogers outside of Detroit? Kenny Rogers has not started a game outside of Detroit, I wonder if Leyland would start him, if possible for Game 4 or 5.

BWA-HAHAHAHAHAHA! :D That's awesome!

You forgot about the two snakes, who could be Diamondbacks. :p

Hey, there's Bud Lite out there with his net trying to fix the countless holes on the ship. Gee, I wonder if that could ever be a case of art turned into reality? ;)

Anyway, game's on. If it goes past the 5th inning, it's official. Hopefully, we won't have to deal with any game that gets washed out early.

I still can't understand why these games all start at 8pm. Weird. Anyway, Cards are up in the 1st.
