MINNEAPOLIS - Minnesota Twins left-hander Francisco Liriano, still feeling pain in his elbow, has stopped his rehabilitation and may consider surgery.
Liriano left the team’s facility in Fort Myers, Fla., and was to consult with doctors. He began working out there earlier this month, trying to get healthy enough to pitch in winter ball.
Gene Mato, one of Liriano’s agents, said Tuesday the pitcher felt it was necessary to “re-evaluate his situation.”
You know IMO this is probably the worst thing about sports, when young players with loads of talent seem to be plagued with injuries, and their talents are taken from us before their time.
Here is hoping that what ever he decides they do a good and thorough job of rehabing him and Liriano comes back much in the same way we appreciated him this season.
