How in the world did Detroit lose a game in the AL playoffs?

two eight game losing streaks, a seven game losing streak, and an almost historical collapse was stuck in my craw pretty good. but that was erased by game two of the nlcs. the sixth inning of game seven of the nlcs will be in my memory forever.

Why was Chip Caray so adamant on the greatness of Jeff Francoeur when it is painfully obvious that he's not that good?

I've been in your shoes.

What I take away from 2006 is how can a team that won the World Series last year, put on the field the most lethal offense in team history, and miss the post-season altogether???:noidea

For me it was watching Carl Crawford steal home, watching Papelbon throw gas in the 9th, watching Ryan Howard ignore the fact that his team decided to be sellers and almost carry his team singlehandedly to the post season and enjoying Jim Leyland flip out early in the season, letting his team know what was expected of them and then getting it.

1. Well, he's not a real leadoff hitter in the first place.

2. Not his fault. :)

Yea, two great #2 hitters in Renteria and Giles. In lalaland, Giles was supposed to hit .330 with a .400 OBP, 50 doubs, 20 homeruns, 120 runs, 25 stolen bases, and a gold glove.

Man, I wish I lived in lalaland.
