Just curious to know if I ever saw any ex-Brooklyn Dodgers in action.
I started following baseball (in Bay Ridge) in 1971. The Dodgers left Brooklyn after the 1957 season.
Does anyone know the last three active ex-Brooklyn players, and the dates they retired?
Thanks
Charlie

Don Drysdale pitched through the 1969 season.

Bob Aspromonte was the last brooklyn Dodger to see active duty. His last season was 1971 with Houston.

Bob Aspromonte was the last brooklyn Dodger to see active duty.
And, quite apporpriately, a Brooklyn native.
In 1968, while still stranded in Texas, Aspromonte, along with Rusty Staub, was fined by the Houston club for refusing to play the day after the death of Robert Kennedy.
Following the season he was traded to the Braves, playing there for two years and ended his career back in New York with the Mets, with whom he appeared in 104 games in 1971.
Aspromonte was also another one of the illustrious Parade Ground alumni.

Thanks everyone. Would anyone care to explain what the Parade Grounds were? Thanks again.

The Parade Grounds is a large park in Bklyn that has about 8 baseball diamonds that were recently renovated, high schools and sandlot teams, use these fields, which is located not too far from Prospect Park.
