I sort of feel sorry for this young fellow. He has a hell of an arm, but something in his mechanics must have gone all to pieces in early July. The manager ONLY used him to eat a few innings in blowouts that the Brew was losing after late July.
But there's so much promise there, and he did have a good 2005 and first half 2006.
Does anyone else have any thoughts on the subject?

Given that the brewers have just exercised the option on Cordero for next season, it doesn't look like he'll get the closers job to start the year (at least).

I hope that Turnbow gets another chance to be the closer but i dont think its happening with Cordero around and him being so great last year.

now guys i like turnbow but lets just face it he just blew it last year i went to two games last year one on may 13th against the mets where he blew a game to them and to the reds where the brewers were up 4-0 in the 9th on july 30th and he gave up 3 runs and they had to bring coco in to save... i mean he needs to start the year as a setup man atleast before getting the closer role right back after that drama last year.. i know those were just 2 games but there the only games iwent to last year.. and he has blown many more...

Give him some time in spring training and see how he does. I think that should be his last chance.
