Are Texas Rangers fans in favor of the firing of Buck Showalter as manger, or do you disagree with it?

I think I will hold off on the poll until I see who will be the new MGR.
I am hoping we will get a good coach but I guess it could alway be worse.

The only reason he was fired is because he was disagreing on things with Michael Young .

im pretty sure that wasnt the ONLY reason.

-1 winning season in 4 years.
-players did not like him as a manager.
-crappy attitude and didnt do much for the community.
-had an all-star caliber team and couldnt win with them.

If you guys believe in karma, fate,or whatever, here's something to look at here.

In 1995,Showalter was fired as Yankee manager after they collapsed in the ALDS against Seattle. They took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-5 only to see the Mariners take that series. The following year, the Yanks won the World Series.

In 2000,Showalter was fired by the Diamondbacks after finishing 85-77,the year after winning 100 games in the franchises 2nd year of existence. The following year, the Diamondbacks won the World Series.

Anyone see a pattern there?;) If this pattern holds true, you Ranger fans can go ahead and map out your 2007 parade route.:D

What were people expecting? They had little pitching going in to the year and while they added millwood, they added #4 & #5 type starters in Padilla and Eaton. They give up talent like Young & Gonzalez, what do they expect? A mid-season aquistion of Carlos Lee isn't going to do it all. I felt that the Rangers did well to have the record that they did.

I would consider it a good move for the Rangers. Buck really wasn't leading them anywhere. I can only wonder who will be the new manager now...
