...for doubles in a season by a Ranger with 51. Speaking of 51, Young every year is right there with Ichiro Suzuki in hits, average, plate appearances and AB's. Way to go !

I'll say it again, as I have many times before:
MICHAEL YOUNG is the best and most underrated player in baseball.

I agree 100% about michael young. I am not a huge Rangers fan, but he is the one player that I do believe Tom Hicks/John Daniels must keep with the Rangers.

IMO, in 10 years from now, Michael will go down as the greatest Ranger ever.

yes, i think they should keep him, but with the controversy hicks and young had this season and with no playoff appearances in 7 straight years, young is doubtful to return after 2007 season.

Has a player ever had more consecutive unsung 200 hit seasons? What a great player. I'm willing to bet he racks up 200 again this year as well.

The Jays never should have got rid of him. He is one of the best, if not the best SS in the game today.

He had 0 hits in 2000, 96 hits in 2001, 150 hits in 2002, 204 hits in 2003, 216 hits in 2004, 221 hits in 2005, and 217 hits in 2006.

Imo, Micheal Young is underrated because Texas Rangers are not a popular team and they don't get much publicity.
Also the casual fan would not even know who Micheal Young is, but if he played for the Yankees or Red Sox, i'm sure they would know him.

Not many people have even had four or more consecutive 200 hit seasons, sung or unsung:
Keeler 8
Boggs 7
Suzuki 6
Gehringer 5
Klein 5
Simmons 5
Burkett 4
Puckett 4
Terry 4
Tobin 4
Waner 4
Young 4
I might give Jack Tobin the unsung award.
