On September 29, 1957, 49 years ago today, the NY Giants played their last game at the Polo Grounds, losing to the Pittsburgh Pirates 9-1. Their last out was recorded at 4:35PM.

It is ironic that the Giants drew 4,000 more fans to their final PG game than the Dodgers did 5 days earlier at EF.

The irony lies in the fact that the Dodgers signficantly outdrew the Giants in NYC in their final years.
