Going into the 8th inning, Daniel Cabrera is working on a no-hitter.
However, it is 5-1 O's because of 3 O's errors that led to a Yankees run. I'm watching the game now on ESPN2, and let me just say that the O's have been playing sloppy defense just now.

Do you guys think the 3 errors scored to the O's would have been ruled hits if not for the the no-no in progress? The second one was borderline in my opinion.

He's going into the 9th inning with the no-hitter still intact!
Come on, Danny! :clapping

I saw the last one and the first one, and I thought they were both errors. The last one would be one of those errors that probably got reversed if a player complained but to me Mora just flat out played that ball badly. Which to me makes it an error.

Or maybe it had to do with the fact he was facing Cano... who was hitting around .340 entering into the game...

GEtting the 2nd out of a no-hitter is the most difficult, according to me, and Cano was no easy out either.
Is it just me or have their been an insane number of near no-hitters and 20something game hitting streaks in the majors this season?

How great, and only one no-hitter pitched yet, seems that getting that 2ndo out in the 9th is tough.

That was almost embarrasing. By the time the ninth inning rolled around, I was preparing for the verbal thrashing I was going to take tomorrow. Then Cano smacked the single and I could breathe again.
