Earl Averill and Hoyt Wilhelm are the only ones to have done this feat to date.
Easy for the trivia buffs, maybe requires some research for others.

When I hear Earl Averill and Hoyt Wilhelm, I think of them being the only two Hall of Famers to have hit home runs in their first at-bats, but with the way this is worded, I'm thinking it's not what you are looking for.

Ted Williams and Mickey Cochrane come to mind. Am I missing somebody(ies)?

On 4/30/1937 Ace Parker of the Philadelphia A's homered in his first at bat and in 1972 was elected to the Hall of Fame.........the NFL HOF that is.
