Yankee Stadium. Tiger Stadium. The Astrodome. All three of these parks will be gone or completly refurbished by the end of the decade. Here's the place to share stories/memories of those three ballparks or protest/complain about their demise.
I, for one, have never been to any of those stadiums.:( Hopefully a roadtrip will take me there before there gone, but that's not likely.
Yankee Stadium has almost as much history for us Red Sox fans as Yankee fans. It is the most historical park in the US, and probabily the most reconized sports arena in the world, along with Madison Square Garden.
The Astrodome was the first indoor stadium for baseball and football in the world. Although it brought on the age of cookie cutters, who can hate the lovable Astrodome?
Tiger Stadium, like Yankee stadium, is filled with history, I would really like to see it before Detriot tears it down:(.

I have a lot of good memories of the Astrodome. Getting to see some of the old Astro greats. Seeing the Marlins in their first year and many Braves games. Just being able to see Maddux, Smoltz and Glavine pitch (even Avery back in the day) was greatness. It was a lot of fun and a good place to watch a game in Houston during the summer. I saw it in its later years but still had a great time each game. I have yet to see the new stadium and even though it wasn't a pretty site and maybe not ideal for baseball, I'll miss it.
I hope to get a glimpse of Tiger Stadium in the coming weeks when I make a trip up there for the first time. I wish I would have had the chance to see a game there before it closed.
yankee stadium. I am NOT a yankee fan, in fact I hate them with a passion, but with all the history there you have to want to see a game there. I hope to make that come to fruition next year as my 2 older brothers and I are going to plan a "getaway" weekend to see the house that the boss will tear down.

I really hope that if they do knock Tiger down, that they have ONE MORE game there as a fairwell. It would be a nice send-off. Also, if the Astrodome is in baseball playing shape, or it could easily be put back into baseball playing shape, that would be awesome too.
I also hate the Yankees with a passion, but who could hate Yankee Stadium? Especally with the history the Sox have there, like the 2004 alcs.

The idiot leaders of detroit have allready said that nobody is getting back in the ballpark. and they are talking about having a auction in the next couple of months of seats and other things to help pay for the stadiums demolition.no wonder why i hate the city of detroit and the detroit tigers so much.

Donald,
Are you gonna buy anything in the auction? Or are you against funding the demolition of your favourite stadium. It must be an awful predicament for a Tiger's Stadium fan like yourself...

I've been to Tiger Stadium a bunch of times. It was great, I really liked it.
