I said on another thread that baseball isn't the same since a few things happened. One of those was the Brewers moving to the National League. I wish they were still in the A.L.

But there has to be an even number of teams in each league. It is not realistic to have 15 teams in both leagues. Now maybe what should happen is they move the Brewers back and put an expansion team in each league.
Any suggestions as to where.

Yeah I realize that. Just a shame it had to be the Brewers. Shoulda been the Indians. Or the White Sox.

--The Indians and White Sox are both original AL teams. Besides it was Bud's idea, so his team was the logical one to move.

The Tribe and Palehose have a longer association with the AL than the Brewers. That would have been like moving the Tigers.
Plus they would not have moved the Sox to the NL with the Cubs already there. I am looking for suggestions for expansion cities.

I know. I was saying that because I hate the Indians and Sox, but I like the Brewers. But you're right, it would be bad to move them as well. As for expansion cities, I don't have the foggiest.

Just what baseball needs, MORE teams! The batting statistics have already become jokes, in good measure because of the dillution of pitching talent due to the lack of professional-caliber pitchers throughout the league, now we want more of that? Oh well, if it's really what the fans want, I guess they should get it, but to purists like myself, it just makes a farce of historical hitting records, which are falling like flies. But then, since baseball is a business, it's whatever the market will bear. I get that, too.
I realize there are points that you could use to counter this viewpoint, and I can think of a couple off the top of my head, but more expansion just doesn't seem right, to me. Maybe more teams in Canada? Another NL team in Boston? Another AL team in Philly? Where does it end?

Anyway, yeah, it just doesn't feel the same with the Brew Crew in the NL. I wonder what the Royals would be if Bud moved them to the NL. They'd have a bigger rivalry with the Cards. Things should be bright for the Brewers soon, though.

The move from the AL to the NL killed the rivalry of the White Sox/Brewers and Twins/Brewers, but now they have to worry about another Chicago team. Their fans (Chicago Cubs) are as desperate as going to Miller Park without warning when they host the Cubs. One day, the Brew Crew will hopefully reach the NLCS one day, if everyone's healthy and productive (including Ben Sheets). 1982 ALCS was long ago, but if the Brew Crew's rookie squad proves to be the next big thing, a World Series ring isn't impossible.
