Hm. Well, here's hoping whatever's wrong with him is fixed.

does anyone know the actual reason for him being sent down to double-a? physicological reasonings could mean alot of things. i was just wondering, a guy that was rated so high in with the royals being sent to single-a to beginning the season seems different.

He wasnt in Single-A to begin the season... he wasnt playing baseball at the beginning of the season due to personal reasons... then since he missed so much time at the beginning, mixed with mental problems, he was in the minors all season... why bring him up to get shelled for a KC team that had no chance

But this thread is wrong, he is in the majors currently

I think he had some kind of phobia of being in a crowd. I read an article in May or June about it (when I picked him up in Fantasy, because I thought he might make a comeback). It said that he had problems dealing with pressure, and couldn't handle everyone in the stands staring at him.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure that was what the article said.

He had some king of psychological problem in dealing with groups of people. He was placed on a medical leave until he was ready to return. He spent the season in AA at Wichita. He had a decent season, including some dominant games, but also got bombed on occasion. At the conclusion of Wichita's season the Royals have brought him up to KC. He will be used only in relief roles through the end of the season. He pitched one scoreless inning Friday night.

Depending on how things go during spring training he will either start the season in AAA Omaha or with the big club.
