We all know that Ortiz broke Jimmie Foxx's franchise record of 50 homeruns set in 1938.
Without looking, which is the only franchise that has gone longer with the same single season HR record holder?

I can think of two possible franchises. My first guess would be the Philadelphia/Kansas City/Oakland A's with Jimmie Foxx.

Interesting that Foxx had the two longest standing. Actually, the second longest standing was tied with Detroit (Greenberg)
