I am a 19 year old kid. Left handed pitcher. 6'6" 190lbs. I have an 82-84 MPH fastball with good movement on it and aroud a 10-14 MPH drop in my change up. I play club ball for my school right now (its the highest level they have). I never really gave baseball another thought, but I am starting too. Is it too late to get on anyones radar? And how would I go about doing so?

Well, right now the radar you need to be looking at is maybe transferring to a D-2 or D-3 school. I have a friend that just signed with a low level college, and hes 6'1, with a 85-87 mph fastball.

Just get in contact with some schools, ask them if they need a lefty pitcher. The coach of the team my friend signed with said that he was in desperate need for a lefty out of the bullpen, so just look to see if anyone is looking for the same in your case.

Well my team is playing against D3 teams and wil become one as soon as title 9 allows it. I would really rather not transfer (I already have once) and my league plays Holy Cross, BU, and the likes. I am a sophmore right now but I didn't play all of high school (basketball instead, dont ask what I was thinking), So I have virtually no exposure. I am not looking to transfer just to get my name out there in the world of baseball prospects.

Sox,
Another avenue you may want to investigate is the Can-Am League.
If you play Holy Cross and BU you cannot be far from Worcester. The Tornadoes have open tryouts each spring. If you are interested let me know and I can provide more specifics.

I would love to but I am in school now, and semi-poor without a car. I would love to go just for the exprience and it cant hurt to go tryout. You can email me at nortonty@emmanuel.edu and I will get back to you with some information as well.
