If there is a video game that you can play the old teams like Brooklyn, NY Giants, St. Louis Browns and say the Boston Braves.

There are the 55 Dodgers on MLB 2K5 and but no version of the Giants other than the new ones. They have the Polo Grounds, Ebbetts Field and Sportsman's Park but no matching teams.

Btw the Polo Grounds in this game gets a jillion home runs thanks to that short porch...

Thanks I will look that up.

Call me sad but I think it would be fun to relive the 1951 pennant race... or the 1954 world series with the Catch.

On another note in the Does Anyone Know category:

For the Brooklyn Dodgers, there are resources to find out how many of them are alive today.

Is there a similar resource for the NY Giants?

btw further on this subject... for those that care.

Do not buy MLB 2K6 for XBOX 360. No polo grounds no ebbetts field...

sad

especially when you think they put that useless world championship thingy in it.

1916 Road uni's although I don't remember white stripes on their socks in the game so they could actually be the home uni's. I wonder what the contemporary press said about these uniforms? They were very unusual and never would there be anything like them again (although in '17 they used a small check pattern on the road uni's)

Paul Lukas would not have been happy with their use of lavender/light purple.
