I became a Giants fan in 1989 during the world series run to the earthquake series.

I am a Blue Jays fan from way back... watched them in old CNE stadium which was a cold wind swept place.

I remember when the Giants in the early 70s came close to moving to Toronto. Then when I was in the Bay Area from 90-92 there was the talk of moving them to St. Petersburgh Florida back then.

So in the past few years I look into the New York version of the Giants. I even started a website a few years back that I did not get very far http://home.btconnect.com/nygiants

I now own a cooperstown NY Giants cap (1951). I am happy to find some trace of people who have been to the old park.

My fondest wish would have been since Montreal was losing the Expos that they had gone back to NY or Brooklyn. But I did recently see the Giants play the former Expos at RFK this year.

Hey Musial 6!!!
I am an Sf Giant fan thanks to my dads following of the NY Giants. Been a long 37 years and counting. He passed away3 years ago. A great man. He always sang that jngle you posted while I was growing up. I always tried to get it for him to no avail. Do you know where I can get it? I hear him singing it to me now, which is a memort I will always treasure.
"We're calling all fans all you Giant ball fans. Come watch the hometeam going places round those bases" Thats all I remember. Regardless, Thanks!!

I think it ended with:

We're calling all fans .......down to Coogans Bluff.
Come watch those Polo Grounders do there stuff.

but we are dealing with a person who can't remember what he had for breakfast this morning. But somehow childhood Giants memories, well thats something else!

My friend Ginnie and I, both age 12 at the time, both girls, decided to call ourselves the "Gianteens" (like all 12-year-olds, we we eager to be a little older than we were), and we used to take the subway up to the Polo Grounds, especially on Ladies' Day when we could get in for , I think, 25 cents. There we would spend the entire game singing, at the top of our lungs, the Giants theme song, which I still know by heart:

We're calling all fans
All you Giants ball fans
Come watch the home team,
Going places, round those bases.
Root for your favorites
Out at Coogan's Bluff
Come watch those Polo-Grounders
DO. . .THEIR . . . STUFF!
