I just read this somewhere recently. Some sportswriter came up with the idea of coming up with a pyramid something.
For example there would be like four levels of the pyramid.
On the bottom would be your average Hall of Fame guys and on the top would be players like Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Hank Aaron (http://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/player.php?p=aaronha01)and etc.
As for the bottom it would be players like Jim Rice(if he were elected). You get my idea.
This sportswriter says its unfair to rank certain players with players of Ruth's status and so forth.
I kind of like the idea.
Actually with this scheme more players would be elected to the HOF. But at the HOF in Cooperstown this large pyramid would be showcased with all these different players on different levels.
Is this too weird for you all?
