If anybody doesn't think you can get the foot down early and still create power look at this swing

Of course it's possible but it's not ideal on a consistent basis.

And I don't see the foot down early in this clip. I see it down on time. Early, to me, is when there is a noticable pause between toe touch and initiation. This swing has no real pause, it has good rhythm.

I agree with FindaGap. What do you mean early? The instant his front heel touches the ground the back heel raises, just like almost every MLB swing.

He front toe gets down a little early and then there is heel drop/ tilt. There is not the over lap linkage of a fanning lead knee( more open foot) as the rear elbow was up and over like a Ted Williams.

There is a more pronounced " dead space" in this swing than most IMHO
