so i guess kid nichols' 10 and larry corcoran's 5 and ed morris' 3 don't count since they pitched before 1900?
iron joe mcginnity had 8 straight starting in 1899
deacon phillippe had 5 straight starting in 1899

larry cheyney pitched in only 3 games his 1st season, then won 20 in 3 straight years

Fergie Jenkins started out as a spot starter and mainly a relief pitcher, but he won 20 games in his first SIX seasons as a full-time starter. Does that count?
