Will we have to go through the whole Clemens soap opera all oer again with him changing his mind about retirement once a week each time making the back page of the newspapers until he finally dramatically declares thaty he will return to his home-town in Houston? It's getting a little annoyed and personally I wish he would just retire at this point.

Yes, just give the retirement gag up. It's almost as old as you are.

And the Astros will once again be tied up to make improvements on their team, just so than can pay a man 10 million to pitch 90 innings. i have lost a lot of respect for Favre and Clemens the past few years.

Lost respect for Clemens? What has he done wrong? How has he declined the way Favre has? Are you speaking only about his indecision to come back? He played the WBC, didnt know if he should come back, then when he realized he could, he came back. I dont see what the big deal is there. Its the media blasting it all over the place, not Roger, im sure he would have liked to not speak about it until he made his decision, but he was hounded about the question every public outing he made, hardly his fault.

favre has no talent around him. even the better QB's in the league stink without talent. (and this comes from a strong Bears fan).

clemens can still pitch (just like favre can still QB and favre is still playing out his contract which the packers are probably glad of because of the salary cap implications if he retired) so does it matter?

not sure if he is going to come back around next year since his body is starting to wear out a bit.

Dude, Favre is garbage, but now, for Clemens, I hope he doesnt do the same thing he did this season, its like how barry bonds was over the summer, I dont want to hear about him everyday. At least ESPN has stopped talking about T.O. every five mintues. HOORAY.

favre is not garbage. no running game, no receivers, no offensive line. and you expect him to have good stats?

The Astros need to avoid the next round of "will he or won't he". They don't have to be dogmatic or anything. Just go about building the club as if he isn't going to be there. This club needs to find some bats, not stand around wondering whether a half-time pitcher is the missing piece to the puzzle.
