View Full Version : Awesome game today.
I treated myself and my band to another game today, and the A's had quite a show to put on. Thomas homers in the 4th after barely missing in the 1st, Kendall comes a foot or two from a homer himself, and gets three hits, Kotsay hits a bases-loaded double, Macha and Lachemann have a brief but cool jawfest with the first base ump, and Teixeira hits two homers for the Rangers. Gorgeous day, sitting with in the 65-and-older section with some of the nicest people to watch a game with...this was everything baseball oughta be.

Wow. I envy you. The coolest games I get to see are in the Cactus League when the A's are here. I've been to a handful of D-backs games, but they are just so lame. The atmosphere feels so fake... :(

Dbacks games are lame??!?!? Why not just hop in the pool?? :laugh

(laughs) Yeah, that's the reason why I DON'T go to games at Chase Field. I can swim in my backyard... ;)
I would not swim in the pool at the BOB, because all the kids are in there, and you KNOW that at least one of them is takin' a urinary piss in the water.

(laughs) Well, IMO, pools don't belong in MLB ballparks. Period. What's the point to watching the game if you're swimming or playing at the arcade?
