Despite being bitterly disappointed by our season....The lat time I checked

Sizemore was LEADING the league in Extra basehits and
Pronk may go 50HR 140 RBI this year

PS...if Vicko stays at first he goes from a top hitting catcher to perhaps a below average hitting firstbaser?

I dunno. Garko looks pretty damned good at 1B. And we have the best DH in baseball. So Vic's gotta stay behind home plate until someone better comes around.

Maybe we can shop his long-term contract to a better team that has someone worth trading for, or someone we can then trade for a better catcher.

Noone will want martinez as a full time catcher. He puts up great numbers offensively, but is bad defensively.

And anyone will tell you, just like pitchers in the NL, for catchers, batting is secondary.

Don't judge a catcher just on stolen base percentage - there are other things....

Um, who leads the league in Runs Created? Who leads the AL in OPS?

That would be the best DH in baseball, Travis Hafner.

You want to come trollling here, you should really be better informed.

I have to agree, I'd take Hafner over Ortiz, Thomas and Thome anyday.

Being a catcher, I would know that, but at the major league level, you should be throwing guys out at a 25% clip minimum. Hes throwing em out at 19%. Hitting is secondary for a catcher, ESPECIALLY in the AL.
