With all the trouble Padilla has had with other players and the Rangers, should the Rangers resign this guy? He has a hot temper and a bad attitude when things do not go his way but, none-the-less, he has earned the title for the Rangers as their ace. He has pitched great, but his bad attitude might cost him. Should the Rangers Re-sign Padilla?

For the most part I would say yes resign him. However, I would like to see how he reacts the remainder of the season first. There was a reason the Phillies gave up on him for basically nothing.

I also think as of now I would like to see him resign. But I picked to soon to tell. just in case he really goes nuts and does something crazy.
Maybe he needs to go to anger management with Ozzie. I don't think I would care to be in that class.

As much as Padilla's suceeding.
No.
Robinson Tejeda is ready to come up and besides, if you've invested more time in scouting Padilla, he has major rib bone problems MAJOR ones and may be injured again sometime soon.
Will Carroll says he has serious problems that he will have trouble healing (ribcage problems)

Are you talking about the Robinson Tejada with the 9.78 era?
He doesn't seem to be the cancer as someone like Rocker was. I think you have to seriously consider bringing him back based on his year so far. Yeah he is a headcase that may not think about the team but if he is going to win 15 games a year then resign.

tejada pitched some good ball last night. wouldnt be suprised to see him more after that. could be a fluke though considering the rest of his starts have been pathetic.
but i agree with you. if padilla can win 15-18 games for us, we should bring him back. maybe offer him a contract somewhere along the lines of this injury that he has will deduct cash if it keeps him sidelined.

At least his ERA is not as bad as Hayden Penn's

Back when Padilla was in Philadelphia he showed us Phillies fans what he could be, a number one, however he was terribly, terribly, inconsistent. He did show great potential to be oustanding back here when he was in Philly. As far as Robinson Tejeda is concerned, he's the same, except he doesnt have potential to be a number one, or two, maybe a great three or four. I'm not sure what hes doing down there for you guys though.
