My father recently has been thinking about purchasing a baseball mitt for the price of $700. It's a Joe Dimaggio Hand Sewed Felt Pad Special Services U.S. Army, Made from the O.K Maufacturing company in Ada, Ohio. I've been searching on the internet and i can't find any mention of it anywhere. Does anyone know how much it might cost, and if $700 is a ripoff. Some photos are attached, any help is appreciated.

IMO $700 seems high for a used store model/Army glove without a box or tag. But Im not an expert. It is in nice condition, but you have to remember it is not a Dimaggio glove, but rather just a Dimaggio store model glove. The highest $$ are usually for gloves that are still in their original boxes and have tags etc. In some instances the tag is worth more than the glove and box (because it is considered a baseball card)
I did a couple searches, here are some sites and auctions to get an Idea of what some (semi related) store model gloves sell for.

Too much $$! What flyingdutchdude said ^^^^
Pick up a copy of Tuff Stuff Magazine, it's about $4.00 on the newsstand and is a great tool for looking up prices.
