The Sox need to win no matter who they are playing. If they starting pitching doesn't right itself the Pale Hose can start making tee times.

Amazing how the Sox and Indians have virtually the same team ERA's and BA's and the sox are playing .593 ball and the tribe .434 ball. Obviously the White Sox have strengths that arent so readily observed.
If the White Sox starting pitching plays to its potential they will cruise to another trophy.
Course if theyv not pitched to their potential by August what are the chances they will start to?

Verlander just got lit up for 5 runs on 13 hits through 5 innings of work tonight.
Thome and Pierzynski each had 2-run shots in the 5th off Verlander.
Meanwhile,Contreras pitched 5 2/3 innings of no-hit ball before Curtis Granderson doubled off the right field wall.
5-0 Sox in the 6th.

As I type the Sox are about to sweep the Tigers reducing their lead to 4 & 1/2 games. With the Tigers heading to Boston and the Sox about to host KC things might look awfully different in the ALC this time next week.

It's crazy, but considering last week at this time,we were 10 games back.5 1/2 sounds pretty good right about now. But we have to survive this one 1st.
