No doubt, important series for the Twins...picking up some ground
against the Tigers..and focusing on winning the WC...as unless there's
a total meltdown , the Tigers are gonna win the division....

Anyhow, we drew first blood tonight...looks like we have your number
this season...it happens...I can remember all too many previous seasons,
when the Twins tore the Tigers up...anyhow, we have the sox coming
in...and then the red sox....after those series, we should have a good
grasp of where the Tigers are heading..you guys have done a fantastic
job of coming back from that early swoon...

good win for the Twins tonight..4-2..especially when the White Sox
beat the Yankees..keeping the heat on the WC race...looks
like the WC race will be the one to watch...unless the Tigers
go thru a slump, and either the Twins-and-or-the ChiSox, get
real hot...anything can happen...

Twins need every win they can get to stay in the WC race. The division title is out of the question.

That was a great series, just like the previous one, yet I like the outcome of this one better. Central Division is making a name for it's self.

Although I give the Twins credit for sticking to their game plan and executing it nearly flawlessly; I'm not so sure that the Twins won the series as much as I think the Tigers lost it.... The Tigers made a group of errors, not all of them officially. I think the Twins will make up even more ground over the next month.

This weeks series against detroit is the time that minnesota needs to get things into high gear and take care of business. then next week chicago can take care of things.the only reason that detroit is still in first is because of minnesota and chicago not getting things done against teams that they should.hopefully after next week chicago will be in first and minnesota ahead in the wild card chase.

Trammel era of 43-119.....

Well i am happy to see minnesota keeping the pressure on detroit. the tigers will fold if minnesota and chicago can get things going. the twins have there season in hand with this weekends series with detroit, and hopefully chicago can gets things going also.and again detroit will fold if these teams can continue keeping the pressure on them.(1964):clapping

Really getting close, Donny. That's all I'm going to say.

The White Sox are permanently in the Twin's rearview mirror. Like I said in my other thread.....Wildcard Shmildcard.

Right now, I think Sox fans are not even thinking about Detriot anymore. We're more concerned with the Wild Card because we have more of chance there. Right now though our focus is just getting out from behind Minnesota. Only 1/2 a game. *crosses finger* Still lots of time with 23 games left

woohoo twins get the series with detriot. chicago is 1 and a half games behind the twins and wont catch up. twins dominated against detriot, and if they dont win the division taking it from detroit they will win the wildcard:dance

Dominated??? You do know if the Twins and the Tigers tie, for the division/wildcard...it goes to the head to head record...Which the Tigers are the winners (subtract 1 from the Tigers magic number)
