The following is from FOXSports.com:

In a stunning development that could affect the Mets' postseason chances, right-handed setup man Duaner Sanchez is out for the year with a separated pitching shoulder, FOXSports.com has learned.

Sanchez, 26, apparently was injured while riding as a passenger in a taxicab that was involved in a car accident Sunday night after the Mets landed in Miami. He returned to New York to undergo surgery on Monday.
The Mets already had been looking for bullpen help, and their search intensified in the final hours before Monday's 4 p.m. non-waiver trade deadline. Mets GM Omar Minaya was on the phone early Monday morning contacting other clubs about relievers who might be available.

Sanchez has been an integral part of the Mets' bullpen since arriving in a trade from the Dodgers for right-hander Jae Seo last off-season. In 49 appearances this season, he is 5-1 with a 2.60 ERA, and opposing hitters are batting only .223 against him.

Who's our right fielder now? Is Endy going to start, or are we going to recall Milledge to play everyday, and would that mean Milledge is no longer for trade?

Damn! I liked X too but I understand considering the circumstances. Looks like Mr. Oswalt is staying put in Houston too eh? :(

Damn it! I liked X too!
I say rotate Chavez and Milledge in RF.
What about Cliff Floyd? Is he staying in NY?

I would do that.. I feel real comfortable with Chavez playing vs righties... Good fielder and a good hitter... Not sure how he will do vs lefties... If they dont promote Milledge, I would guess Marrero would be part of the rotation...

Well anyways, a problem for the Mets losing Sanchez has turned into a possible positive situation as the Mets got Scott Linebrink and Roberto Hernandez....

We got a solid deeper pen now IMO....

Oliver Perez struck out 239 batters in 2004....I think the mets should try this guy out.
