Would like to buy my husband tix to Cubs game (home game), but I have NO IDEA which games are considered good match ups, or what reasonable prices are, or where to purchase (other than Cubs site?). Has anyone bought tix from the Cubs Replay Ticket Exchange? Can you buy small # of tix for rooftop venues?
Any suggestions much appreciated!

rooftop venues are usually parties, that much I can tell you. And usually dont go for anything under 75 (and usually not under 100).

Have you ever sat on a rooftop? They kinda suck if your really into baseball. I wouldnt even ever sit in upper deck or CF bleachers.

upper deck actually isnt all that bad, and is better than the upper deck at the Cell.

Halsted and Belmont is better then the upper deck at New Comiskey. That is a terrible upper deck!

lol i know. I have been to like 7 games there and all 7 in the upper deck. once with the Baseball Guru in 2003 and to avoid the rain, we were in the VERY top row. i thought i was going to die! its scary being up that high.

Well... please tell me these seats are incredible, because in the last 30 seconds of an eBay bid I accidentally hit Buy It Now for $575 instead of Bid for $375
"section 17 row 1, front row seats right behind Cubs on deck circle"
&*$#^*#()$*&&%!!!!!! I know they're probably good seats, but are they worth anywhere near what I paid? I want to throw up.

Two tickets for $575 plus shipping = $590. Then they went and traded Maddux, and then my husband complained last night that they were so bad why would anyone want to go to a game. I am kicking myself. Are they at least fabulous seats? (Sxn 17 Row 1)

Yeah, they are fabulous seats. You realize their face value is about $50 dont you? If you dont mind me asking you why would you pay $300 apiece for a regular season game to see a team that is so bad? I mean, I dont want to be a downer or anything but this is an example of why the Cubs will never go to the World Series. When people will pay 6 times the face value for tickets when they are 15 out, and when 40,000 fill the stands every night, who in Cubs ownership is going to care if they have a winner?
Wrigley Field is not Stonehenge or the Inca Temples. Its a good place to watch a ballgame, and it has history, but not enough to pay 6 times the face value. But have a great time at the game. Whats done is done and the only thing left to do is have fun watching baseball. Baseball is a different game to watch when you have seats like that.

Well, I know -- that's why I'm so sickened that I screwed up and clicked through Buy It Now AND Confirm on eBay instead of Bid. 2-300 would have been a stretch but I would do it because it is a 40th birthday and I haven't given him a present in years other than lame gift certificates. I did NOT want to spend $600!! My backup plan if I didn't get those tix for $350 was to just buy a bunch of much cheaper bleachers seats so he could have a Cubs party.

Ha, I wish I only had to pay 6x face value for my shaddy playoff seats in 2003. But I'd do it over and over again how many times do you get to see the Cubs in the playoffs in your lifetime.

Its done Vicki. Dont let the price of the ticks ruin a day at the ballpark.
