Can someone please explain to me or point me in the direction of another site, that actually has information on PSA grading?

What i am asking is....

I understand that diffferent era's have different standards for grades...

I also understand differnt grading companys have different standards for their number grades...

When someone says that have a PSA 10 card, is that a GEM MINT ? IS a PSA 9 therefore MINT?

I am attempting to figure out what is what... and also, does anyone have the formula they use to decide what is what? I went to the PSA web site and watched their movie, which was cool... but... i mean... for centering... if it is off by 1/10th is that an automatic 9 ? Does anyone know how or where to find all of this crazy specific info? I personally havent been able to find it, and it would be greatly helpful!

lol what the blank did i just type? u know what i mean i hope...

I think Beckett makes a distinction between Vintage and modern, not sure PSA does that.

A PSA-10 is Perfect Perfect Perfect, no exceptions. (And very rarely given, even to the mass produced modern stuff)

At least 97% of all cards pulled straight from the (wax) pack will not receive a 10.
And 99.99997% of cards pulled from a cigarette pack will not receive a 10.

A PSA-10 is nearly impossible in PreWar.

If you have Vintage PreWar cards (1887-1940) be happy with a PSA-6.

BTW, I get my cards graded by SGC. They dont make dumb identification mistakes like you know who.

(Nothing like a $20 card in a $250,000.00 Holder)
