My local paper ran a story last week about Bobby Thompson moving recently from his home in Watchung, NJ to Savannah, GA to live near his family.

He was ALWAYS so gracious and giving of his time.

Though he broke our hearts 55 years ago, we Brooklyn fans have admit how fine a man he's always been.

All the best to Bobby T in his new life in the South!

Bobby Thomson, always the gentleman and a fine ballplayer to boot. His homer in '51 will live forever in the hearts of all baseball fans of that era.
